With over 20 years of institutional real estate experience, Sach founded Urban Oak Capital to bring his well-developed technical knowledge of the real estate process to sub-institutional investors, owners and tenants. Most recently, Sach was a Managing Director at Sterling Bay, heading acquisitions and portfolio strategy for the West Coast region building the portfolio to 4.3 million square feet of existing and development projects with a total consideration of $4 billion.
Prior to Sterling Bay, he spent 17 years at JLL where he worked to open the company’s Silicon Valley office in 2006, managed Kaiser Permanente’s Southern California portfolio in 2009, worked directly with Amazon on major headquarter transactions for wholly owned subsidiaries Zappos (Las Vegas, NV) and Lab126 (Sunnyvale, CA) in 2011 and 2012, and managed Bank of America’s Northern California and Arizona portfolios in 2014. Other notable occupier clients include, but are not limited to, Cisco Systems, Schering-Plough Biopharma and Microsoft.
In 2014, Sach relocated to San Diego to join JLL's Capital Markets Group where he was a trusted advisor to institutional, middle market and high net worth investors. He worked directly with investors to facilitate the acquisition and disposition of a broad spectrum of asset classes including office, industrial, R&D, life science, retail, multi-family and land. His responsibilities included portfolio management, investment strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, valuations, underwriting, asset management, transaction management and lease negotiations.
